Akrapovic Triumph Exhaust
Akrapovic Triumph Exhaust is an exhaust slip on system made for Triumph motorcycles. This system was designed for those not wanting to make any major modifications and still keep the high performance aspect of the bike. The Akrapovic exhaust is an economical replacement to the factory slip-on exhaust features an easily mountable Titanium Exit Tip that increases the sound and exhaust flow for exceptional looks and performance.
The Akrapovic Company was founded in 1990 by Igor Akrapovic. Igor had a love of motorcycles, even doing his own testing. At that point in time, there were no good exhaust systems on the market. Akrapovic worked hard to create the perfect system. They came up with the high-quality stainless steel exhaust system to replace the old thick walled steel tubing.
In 1993 Kawasaki accepted an invitation to test the Akrapovic exhaust system. After testing a model which had not been developed for that particular bike, it was clear that the Akrapovic system was better than the factory system. This was a huge breakthrough and the beginning of major cooperation with numerous teams in the Superbike championship, in which Akrapovic enjoyed a string of wins and championship titles in the following years.
In 1997, Akrapovic began using titanium steel in their exhaust systems. These were made in-house as opposed to depending on outside suppliers that had proven to not always be reliable. By producing their own in-house titanium system, Akrapovic was able to produce the first truly affordable system for everyone. In 1999 the Akrapovic exhaust system was used by every Japanese team in the Superbike World Championship.
